AOK EFL E-Learning
ILL Workshop Follow-up Objective
Follow-up Objective for your Anonymous Evaluations for the Workshop: Una introducción al ‘Independent Language Learning (ILL) Equation’ y el Pasaporte de Lenguas Europass
This workshop is being offered in the interests of adult education. The immediate goal is introduce students to ILL and provide an overview of how to carry out the ILL Learning Equation with the help of a language portfolio. The long term goal is to encourage an organization such as UNESCO to sponsor an ILL website. There are many adults who don’t know about ILL because they don’t have time to take classes.
If your opinions of the material presented in this workshop are positive, your evaluations will be used to encourage an international organization such as UNESCO to create a centralized ILL website for public use. If you would like to personally request a not-for-profit organization to do this, below is an example of a possible e-mail and list of possibilities to send to.
Thanks, John B. Kirk, Director, AOK EFL E-Learning
An Example of an e-mail Workshop Participants Could Send
Dear (organization or name of person):
I’m an adult education student from Ecuador. I am employed, have family responsibilities, and am studying English on my own. I recently attended the AOK EFL E-Learning workshop ‘Introduction to Independent Language Learning (ILL)’. In the workshop I learned the basics of how to use a language portfolio with the CEFR and free on-line sites for English study. The concepts are interesting, but the related information is represented in many URL’s.
I´m writing to ask if your organization might consider sponsoring an ILL website that university and adult education students can use. I’m sure it would help many people.
Sincerely, ……………………..
