AOK’s free invitation to the workshop: “Studying English with the Internet, the CEFR the Biography Section of the ELP: for level A2-B1 students
Students: Objective I Would you like to have a better understanding of how you can use the Internet as a second resource to achieve better progress in your English language learning?
Objective II: Would you like to have an explanation of the ‘Biography’ section of the European Language Portfolio (ELP), the official EU study system for foreign languages and a type of ‘Independent Language Learning (ILL)’ that can help you focus your studies on the Internet?
The Workshop Plan
AOK will provide an introduction on how to meet both objectives through the following steps:
P-1 Determine your language learning objectives in the CEFR using the self-assessment and/or the Dialang, an informal, free Internet test.
P-2 Choose ‘effective learning, smart phone applications’ for English.
P-3 Participate in learning communities to improve your conversation, often at no cost.
P-4 Use a European Language Portfolio (ELP) to take control of your learning in the ‘Biography section‘ through reflexive and cognitive strategies.
P-5 Use free EFL learning websites: AOK will distribute a large, annotated list.
Participants will receive a list of over 200 free websites to study English from elementary school to adult level. This workshop is for Level A2 speakers and above.
This workshop is being offered to help increase interest in the construction of an “Independent Language Learning (ILL)” English website for all by the U.N. in support of its World Goal No. 4: Quality Education. The U.N. has 17 World Goals that they hope to meet by 2030.
Because the materials in this workshop are available only for non-commercial and educational purposes, there is no cost to attend. AOK is registered with SRI to provide ‘Complimentary Professional Services’.
