Six Supporting Spanish Pre-K – Grade 12 & Adult Ed Multi-Themed Workshops
According to UN statistics in support of World Goal 4 “Quality Education”, half the youth in the world lack the education to learn math and content area concepts at their proper grade levels. Also, only 44% of the adults in the world are considered to be educated.
This being the case, why not promote the use of the materials at various grade and interest levels that are freely available on the Internet for supplementary education themed practice?
Good children’s stories, news related and academic reading materials for the major subject areas from pre-school through high school and adult basic education (ABE) are freely available for native Spanish speakers on the Internet, but sometimes it’s difficult to find them. AOK offers free educational workshops with annotated websites to help people find and use these materials.
Some of the Advantages of Extra Study Materials
Sometimes it can be helpful to study topics widely through different perspectives. Also, if you’re trying to catch up, stay equal with, or get ahead of your class, having well-written study materials to chose from on the Internet can help a lot.
Six Native Speaker Academic Workshops
AOK offers three Pre-K – Grade 12 free educational workshops for parents and family members to help their children at the pre-university level. It also offers one pre-university workshop for adults who have graduated from high school but need to review to better prepare themselves for university level subjects. It also offers two others for adults studying ABE.
The two ABE workshops in Ecuador are for “Educacion Extraordinaria”, or for ABE students who are working on their basic learning skills as well as those working on obtaining their grade level 10 high school certification.
Two ESOL Workshops
For learning English at the levels A1-B1 levels, AOK offers “Market Sales English” for non-English speakers who work in markets for foreigners. It also offers A1-2 English for beginners, extended family members and friends who wish to study together.
Workshop Descriptions
Each workshop includes a Powerpoint presentation, a free list of annotated websites, and supporting handouts for basic subject areas and learning skills. This information is meant to be supplementary to what is offered by the schools the students attend.
The long-term purpose of the workshops is to involve the participants in helping the UN to meet the 2030 Global Goals through their self-education efforts; this can increase their interest in different topics and help them become stakeholders in their communities. It’s also to encourage the UN to provide an website for native speaker study skill/acadmic materials by 2030 in support of its Sustainable Development Goal No. 4: Quality Education.
AOK workshops are free and without obligation: today on the Internet there are many free EFL learning sites for teachers and students that are only available for non-commercial, individual use. As AOK uses this information in its workshops, its services are also free and without obligation. Contact AOK Workshops for more information at: johnbkirk49@protonmail.com.
